Mingyur Rinpoche's Visit to Indonesia and Triyana

Mingyur Rinpoche's first ever trip to Indonesia started on
February 12. Rinpoche was accompanied by Lama Chewang and arrived in Jakarta. The tour then started at Ekayana Temple in Jakarta, followed by Palembang for 2 days.

Rinpoche then went to Yogyakarta and great stupa, Borobudur. Bali was next and we managed to stop by the Bali Bomb site for a prayer for the deceased.

Last stop was Surabaya where Rinpoche stayed for 4 days and also did a big fire puja with a little more than 1,000 people attending. Rinpoche went back to India via Jakarta.

A lot of people were impressed by Rinpoche's clear and concise style of teaching, great sense of humour and endless energy.

Rinpoche had agreed to Triyana's request to be under Rinpoche's guidance. Rinpoche also agreed to come again and hopefuly a yearly teaching trip to Indonesia. In 2006, Rinpoche planned to give the 1st part of a 3-year Mahamudra Retreat. We will post the schedules once the dates are confirmed.

Hi Erik,

Yes I have. Your blog on Tulku Urgyen inspired me to make this for Mingyur Rinpoche and our center.

Thanks for you....
